Environmental Management Plans

An Environmental Management Plan (EMP) is a document that evaluates the interaction between facility siting and design and management to identify risks to the environment, proposes ways to reduce environmental risks and clearly describes targeted environmental monitoring to detect any impacts.  It may also include detailed practical procedures aimed at ensuring a high 
standard of environmental protection.
